We had a very enjoyable 11-day stay at the Passage du Soleil hosted by Victor and Maryse. The villa is built on top of granite boulders and is secluded among palm trees and tropical plants. It is centrally located on the Praslin island (about 9 miles from Praslin Island airport) and is next to the main coastal road. The villa is overlooking Anse Possession and Curieuse Island. There is a small beach across the road that can be accessed via a private gate. There are several small grocery stores and restaurants within 5-10 min drive from the villa. At the Cosmina Beach, which is 5-minute walk from the villa you can buy fresh fish off the boat from local fishermen around 5 PM. We found the villa to be spacious, clean, and well equipped for short or long stays. There are two air-conditioned bedrooms with ceiling fans and modern ensuite bathrooms on the second floor. The kitchen, living room and dining room are on the first floor. These rooms have ceiling fans but no air conditioning. The villa has a large, sheltered terrace equipped with fans. The view from the terrace is beautiful particularly during early morning and evening. We found that having a rental car is the best way to explore the island. Our hosts were very helpful and responsive to our requests before and throughout our stay. Ashley, who lives on the island, helped us with checking in and out of the villa and gave us recommendations of places to visit and shop. We were impressed with Ashley’s professional, responsive and friendly service.
